Raya Celebration

Today, we had our own hari raya celebration. It was really great and happening. Each departments were given RM600 to setup a stall. There were 7 stalls altogether. Each with assigned menus. I didn’t expect the celebration to be that happening and enjoyable so I didn’t bring my traditional cloth. But seeing our chinese CEO wearing baju melayu complete with songket and songkok, made me regret a bit.

While eating, each departments with at least 6 staffs, had to sang a raya song which is picked on the spot by respective department’s heads. Luckily our department got quite an easy song. M Nasir’s Satu Hari Di Hari Raya. Everyone came out, sing together and some berjoget in front. Oh, did I mention that it was a competition? Yup, and we managed to get the second place! Of course we can’t beat LRMS.. They were well prepared to win. And they also won the best decorated stall. Congrats..

Farewells

Our unit had our own hari raya gathering this afternoon. The funny thing was, our boss, the one who’d agreed to treat couldn’t make it. The bill was then settled by En RS. While there, since I’m leaving, they also presented me with a good luck card and a gift.

After work, the youngs and the not-so-youngs gathered for a dinner nearby to celebrate Iwe and I. Iwe is also leaving on the day after tomorrow. So I think the gathering was most appropriate for him. They asked us to say some words. When it was my turn;

Me: Terima kasih sebab datang dan berkumpul malam ni untuk meraikan kami.. Ucapan seterusnya akan bersambung minggu depan. Sekian, terima kasih.

Hehehe.. Saje je.. Aside from feeling it’s too early to give a farewell speech, the place is quite noisy. It’s hard to speak so that everyone could listen.

So that’s it. 2 farewells in a day. Which also means, covered meals for the day. Thank you guys..

Aiko & Rika

The cat sisters have names now!! The shorthair is named Aiko while the longhair is Rika. What a fancy Japanese names, huh? Well, it’s not a surprise coming from Taufiq since he had fancied anything japanese for quite a long time. Err.. actually I was one also, but things have gradually slowed down. Anyways, he also bought them a collar bell each, some kitty toys and new poop sand. They look so lovely with the pink bells..

Caturday?

Actually, it’s Sunday.. Taufiq and I went to auntie Yat’s house. Our neighbour. She made some breakfast. After that, I went back to my room. About an hour later, Taufiq knocked and opened my door.

Taufiq: Mus, aku baru amik 2 ekor kucing dari SPCA..
Me: Huh?? Jap-jap..

Me quickly wore a shirt (since I’m shirtless at that time 😉 ) and went downstairs.

Oh, they look just like our previous cat, Naldo! Same hair & eyes colour, same pattern. White and orange for hair and orange for eyes. Taufiq said both are female and sisters. But one with short hair while the other medium/quite-long hair. Same mother, different fathers. Well, animals..

Me: Ni amik kena bayar apa-apa ke, free je?
Taufiq: Bayar.. RM200 for both.
Me: Huh? Mahalnye.. Local je ni..
Taufiq: Ok la tu.. Diaorang dah siap mandulkan and beri vaksin.
Me: Owh.. Aku ingat free je amik kucing-kucing kat SPCA tu. Bukan ke diaorang ada berlambak kucing yang tak dituntut sampai buat kempen “adopt a cat”..?
Taufiq: Tak la.. kucing tak banyak pun.. Sikit je.. Anjing banyak la..
Me: Owh.. Apa yang buatkan ko nak amik kucing-kucing ni?
Taufiq: Abis, dah Naldo tak balik-balik.. Aku lebih rela bela kucing dari bela tikus..

Hahaha.. ok, he have a point there.. Maybe I’ll write about this later. So I played with the sisters for a while. It was quite difficult to play with them since they were busy checking and smelling all around the house. Went from first to third floor. So restless.. Nevermind, just let them be since it’s a new home for them. They need to be familiar with.

So that’s it. New members to the house.. Too bad, no pic of them yet.

Book five

Went to KLCC. Went straight to Kinokuniya. Ops, I think I made a stop at Adidas‘ store. The beauty of Adizero mesmesrized me. The sales assistant said it’s the newest and the lightest. I bought his words since they indeed look nice and light. Must feels really good to wear and run with.

Oh, the mission.. To Kinokuniya then! Straight to fiction/fantasy section. There, at the same shelf and the same spot as last year, they lay. Ok, which one is book five..?? Hmm..?? I don’t remember your name la.. Which one are you? Come on.. is it Wit’ch War? But Wit’ch War is stated as book three.. Oh, suddenly the name crossed my mind. Wit’ch Star.. Ok, where are you..?? Hmm.. Nowhere to be found.. What a let down.. Nevermind, let’s ask the lady there first.

Me: Hi, could you help me find book five from this series, please? (pointing to the book three which I hold).
She: Book five?
Me: Yes, book five.
The girl typing something on the keyboard.
She: Do you know the title?
Me: Wit’ch Star if I’m not mistaken. Wit’ch is spelt like this (pointing to the book three again).

After some typing and clicking, she stood up and checked the shelf behind her. Seconds later, she passed me the book. Thank you.. Walked some steps away from the counter while checking the book and then I realized this is not exactly the one I wanted.. I wanted the one from Del Rey. This is from Orbit.. Nevermind, let’s ask her again.

Me: Sorry.. but do you have the one with the same publisher as this one? (pointing to the same earlier book three)

The girl did some typing and clicking again. Then she stood up and went away. Do I need to follow her? Do I? But then I decided not to. Moments later, she came back with the book. Thank you once again!!

Finally, after a year, I could continue the journey of Elena and her companions..

Next, went to ami Ajim’s open house for dinner. Makan free.. 🙂

So close yet so far

Something happened. I wonder whether that’s the answer to my prayers. If it is, then I think I’m not worthy. Yet. Yet if indeed it is, I couldn’t be more than happy.

Only time will tells. Until then, go with the flow, Mucs..

Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar angkasawan kedua Malaysia??

Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar terkejut beliau angkasawan kedua Malaysia

STAR CITY, Russia – Angkasawan Malaysia, Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, mengakui terkejut apabila mengetahui beliau adalah orang kedua dari Malaysia yang berjaya ke angkasa.

Sheikh Muszaphar yang berada di Stesen Angkasa Antarabangsa (ISS) selama 10 hari, selamat mendarat di Bumi pada pukul 2.37 petang kelmarin waktu tempatan (6.37 petang waktu Malaysia) selepas menempuh perjalanan selama tiga jam 23 minit dengan kapsul Soyuz TMA-10.

Selain beliau, turut berada dalam kapsul tersebut adalah dua angkasawan Rusia iaitu Fyodor Yurchikhin dan Oleg Kotov.

Untuk rekod, angkasawan pertama Malaysia ialah seorang rakyat Terengganu yang berasal dari Besut iaitu Ayah Pin (gambar di bawah). Kerajaan langit adalah sebuah Negara di atas langit… khabarnye Maharaje Ayah Ping sedang mengalami masalah kewangan.

Carrefour Johor Bahru

Untuk dijadikan iktibar dan tauladan supaya kes penculikan kanak-kanak dapat dielakkan, insyaAllah.

sekadar ingin berkongsi pengalaman dengan apa yang terjadi di carrefour johor bahru baru-baru ini. kejadian berlaku di bahagian pasar (tempat jual daging ayam ikan). seorang ibu yang terlalu leka memilih daging kehilangan seorang anak perempuan yang berumur 4 tahun. kebetulan, saya ada di sebelahnya ketika kejadian. si ibu memanggil-manggil nama anaknya berkali-kali namun anaknya tidak ada di sekitarnya.

saya minta seorang pekerja lelaki carrefour untuk membuat pengumuman di kaunter khidmat pelanggan. pekerja lelaki itu buat seperti yang diarahkan lalu meninggalkan saya di situ untuk membuat pengumuman arahan melalui telefon dalaman agar semua pintu dan pagar di kunci serta-merta dengan kod keselamatan yang telah sedia ada. dengan serentak dan pantas, semua pintu di kunci.

3 minit selepas saya meminta bantuan pekerja lelaki carrefour tadi, mereka telahpun menjumpai kanak-kanak berkenaan kurang dari 5 minit selepas itu didalam sebuah tandas di tingkat medan selera. kepala budak perempuan itu di cukur hingga botak dan dia cuma berseluar dalam di samping ada sebuah beg baju, pisau cukur dan rambut palsu untuk memastikan budak perempuan itu tidak mudah dicam. siapapun yang menculik budak perempuan ini, telah membawanya ke dalam tandas lalu mencukur kepala budak perempuan tersebut hingga botak dan cuba menukar pakaian asalnya agar tidak dapat di cam oleh waris atau sesiapapun budak itu hanya dalam masa 10 minit.bayangkan. betapa cekapnya penculik ini!

tolonglah jaga dan awasi anak atau cucu atau sesiapapun hubungan budak itu dengan anda agar perkara seperti ini tidak lagi berulang kepada kita-kita yang lain. sentiasa pastikan mereka di samping kita terutamanya di gedung-gedung pasaraya, pusat membeli belah atau di mana-mana sahaja. hanya beberapa minit sahaja, anak kita boleh hilang dari pandangan mata kita untuk selama-lamanya. seperti kisah tadi. barangkali, jika terlewat 5 minit sahaja lagi, budak perempuan tadi sudah pasti akan terlepas keluar dari pasaraya tadi dengan lelaki atau perempuan yang bertopengkan manusia itu tadi. budak perempuan tadi selamat. jutaan terima kasih kepada pekerja lelaki carrefour tadi yang bertindak dengan pantas.

saya terpaksa merahsiakan identiti pekerja lelaki tersebut untuk keselamatan beliau.
